Eco-designed, Ana Hop joined the Unplugged by Lefebvre family in 2023. On the occasion of Céline Lefebvre’s 40th birthday, the sixth generation and first woman to run the brewery, this intriguing blonde was invited to the celebration.
The Unplugged range, of which she is part, includes beers brewed with malt sourced from the local regenerative agriculture, in our case the Cultivae cooperative (www.cultivae.be). This type of agriculture helps to preserve soils, reduces crop treatment, and can capture up to 2 tons of carbon per hectare cultivated. After being used in beer production, the malt returns to local farms as draffs (residue from grains after extraction), used to feed livestock. We continue to expand this closed-loop approach to all our raw materials to promote healthy growth over several years.
Ana Hop also stands out for its modern brewing method, which consumes less energy and aligns better with the current challenges we actively seek to address. Our brewery has chosen not to follow the usual production methods for alcohol-free beers, such as filtration or distillation, but instead to opt for a natural production method. This technique is based on the use of a specially developed yeast for the production of low-alcohol beverages.
Let yourself be seduced by this badass, as surprising as explosive and (almost) alcohol-free!
